Actor, filmmaker, writer-- we all know that Ashutosh
Gowariker is a versatile man. We can now add singer to that long list of
talents.
Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi hosted many Bollywood
A-listers at their Juhu home, last month. They were celebrating the veteran
lyricist’s celebrated his 72nd birthday on January 17 and Ashutosh was one of
the guests.

Farhan & Zoya Akhtar invited all their close friends
& surprised Javed saab at his residence. From evergreen actress Rekha to
Hrithik Roshan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kalki and many other Bollywood biggies, all
graced the occasion.
As the wine flowed, Sonu Nigam picked up the banjo and as
he played a tune on the instrument, Loy Mendonsa started playing the guitar and
Ashutosh started singing.Check out the video:
He picked up the evergreen Mohammed Rafi number, Tum Jo
Mil Gaye Ho, from Hanste Zakham to serenade the birthday boy. He rendered
a pitch perfect rendition of the number, complete with all the difficult twists
and runs of the romantic number.
Shabana Azmi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Alka Yagnik and Sunidhi
Chauhan, swayed to the tune as everyone gathered around to listen to Ashutosh.

Sonu Nigam decided to play back-up at one point and
stepped in with some interesting musical cadence.
It was a treat for those in the room and now the world
too got to hear Ashutosh after the video made in into the public sphere as a
popular Whatsapp forward.
